gps-insight-dashboard-t02The Dashboard interface allows you see where your vehicles and other assets are in real-time with current status information. It also provides users with the tools necessary to take full control of your fleet operations from one screen.

Moveable windows called “dashlets” provide insight via real-time maps, vehicle location lists, alerts, graphs, messages, landmark visits, and more. These individual dashlets may be moved around the screen, re-sized, added, or removed and arranged to customize your workspace configuration.

Schedule reports, set up alerts or administer your vehicles, drivers, and user groups easily from our efficient web-based interface.

data-integration-feat

What is Integration?
The definition of integration is the process of combining individual computing systems or software applications into a unified whole.

How it Benefits You:
Integrating GPS tracking data with your other business applications is beneficial to you because it provides a more complete view into your fleet operations. By compiling data from different sources in the format you need to see it, you will have better insight to make important business decisions.

The Different Types of Integration that VistaTrackGPS Offers Customers:

API’s: API’s provide a form of communication to push or pull data about your fleet between our servers and your back-end systems, e.g. ERP, Dispatch, CRM, Order Entry. These are usually more manual and do require someone on your end that is familiar with them. The most common API requested is a location API that sends vehicle/ asset location information only.

Map Overlays: Map overlays are GIS maps or business specific mapping information that is layered into a GPS tracking platform’s mapping. This way you can view business specific points of interest such as power lines or manhole covers and your vehicles at the same time.

Data Connect: Data Connect is on the high end of integrations and is the most technical. It is a fully customized integration that involves custom programming to make your different software applications talk to each other. Many businesses don’t need this because it takes all of the GPS tracking data received and pushes it all to you. In most cases that is too much data.

Data Dump: Data Dump takes information that is available in two systems and brings them together on a scheduled basis to provide a report or summary of the information that is most valuable to the users. An example of this would be a fuel card report. All of the fuel card data is sent to the GPS tracking provider and matched up once a day with the location data to determine if there is fuel card fraud.

vehicle-tracking-feat-messaging

Monarch Tranking offers a variety of outlets to communicate with your fleet.

SMS Messaging to/from Dispatch

  • Send and receive SMS text messages to and from your drivers via any mobile device
  • Send and receive SMS text messages to and from your drivers via Garmin Integration
  • Use the Dashboard messaging dashlet, links within maps, or the dedicated messaging interface

SMS Text Queries (use SMS text messages instead of a web interface)

  • Send a query from your cell phone for instant vehicle location and status (via 477477)
  • Create landmarks, find the closest vehicles, set alerts and more
  • Standard SMS text message rates apply

vehicle-tracking-feat-garmin

Send optimized stops and messages via Garmin navigation device. Integrate with Garmin PND’s to dispatch and communicate with your fleet.

vehicle-tracking-feat-historyWhen you need it, we have it.

Fleet managers need to have access to the historical data of their fleet, mainly to compare numbers and analyze savings on their bottom line. Some managers only need a few months, but others may benefit from the ability to go back years.

Businesses value our unlimited historical data for these reasons:

Billing Disputes

Go back as far as you need in order to verify time spent on a jobsite or in a specific location.

Documented Employee Behavior

Management can check historical data to prove driver behavior issues.

Comparative Metrics

Management can compare metrics that are reported on, as far back as they would like and see year-over-year data to analyze savings.

Regulatory Compliance

Provide proof that a fleet has complied with certain laws and regulations.

Litigation

Dispute if a driver was wrongfully given a ticket or to provide evidence in court.

VistaTrackGPS offers 3-years of vehicle history standard, most of our competitors only store it for 90-days. If a customer requests more than 3-years history, Monarch Tracking can provide it at no cost.

vehicle-tracking-feat-hierarchyHierarchy Capabilities significantly improve the way you manage large groups of vehicles.

Many companies have divisions and branches, as well as multiple types of vehicle functions. These hierarchical structures can be easily modeled and historically assigned to vehicles, users, drivers, and landmarks within VistaTrackGPS.

  • Create a Geographical Hierarchy, Organizational Hierarchy, Vehicle Type Hierarchy, or any type which applies to your company
  • Hierarchies massively simplify administration and usability, particularly for enterprise fleet implementations
  • Easily create/ edit your hierarchy for easy organization of your enterprise fleet
  • Assign and un-assign vehicles, landmarks, and drivers by dragging and dropping
  • Ad-Hoc reports answer questions like “How many miles/stops/hours did we have in November for Southwest Parts vans which weren’t Ford’s?”
  • Alerts and Reports can be easily set up once to go to the appropriate people throughout the organization for their vehicles only
vehicle-tracking-feat-wex-fuel-cardIntegrate your fuel cards with GPS tracking for more visibility.

Monarch Tracking customers who have Wright Express (WEX), Fleetcor, Comdata, or Speedway fuel cards can generate reports based on all fuel card transactions, and more importantly, see flagged activity where a specified vehicle was not present for the associated purchase transaction.

Analyze fuel card activity with these Reports:

  • Fuel Card Transactions – Details about each fuel transaction to help identify fuel card fraud
  • Fuel Card Usage – Summarized fuel efficiency and fuel consumption
  • State Mileage – Vehicle mileage and fuel transactions organized by state

Monarch Tracking customers do not pay anything extra for this valuable functionality. If you are not a WEX, Fleetcor, Comdata, or Speedway customer, let us know and we will get you the necessary materials to become one – free of charge!

vehicle-tracking-feat-driverID

Driver ID allows you to track Drivers in addition to each Vehicle.

driver-ID

Any activity performed by a vehicle during the time the driver was assigned will be associated with that driver for reporting purposes. Maps display driver information, and alerts/messages will have the appropriate driver’s contact information as an override to the default vehicle information (e.g. email address & cell phone number for SMS).

  • Driver-Centric Reports – View reports on idling, speeding, miles, stops, landmark visits, and odd-hours by driver, not by vehicle
  • Administrative Control – Set up which drivers are assigned to which vehicles historically
  • Accountability – Obtain a history for which vehicle was driven by which driver at a particular time (e.g. for parking tickets, toll violations, customer complaints, etc.)
Driver Assignment – Drivers can be assigned to a vehicle in 5 different ways; manual (via the web interface), touching a keyfob (pictured below) to a reader in the vehicle (if installed), sending the Driver ID via Garmin, SMS text message (e.g. “gps 1234 assign david.smith” will assign David Smith to vehicle 1234), or using our API (Application Programming Interface)
